
Becky Weiler, Flute & Apprentice Flute Ensemble
Becky Weiler is a flute player and educator with nine years of experience teaching flute privately. She currently teaches fifth and sixth grade band and general music in the Ottawa Elementary School District. She previously taught band in District 300 (based in Carpentersville, Illinois). Becky also teaches the Apprentice Flute Ensemble at Music Suite 408.
Becky graduated from Northern Illinois University, where she earned her Bachelors in Music Education. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from Augustana College. Becky has performed in a wide range of ensembles, including the Augustana Symphonic Band, Augustana Symphony Orchestra, NIU Philharmonic, NIU Flute Ensemble, NIU Wind Ensemble, the Illinois Valley Flute Ensemble, and Flutopia (flute choir based in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois). Becky currently plays flute in the Illinois Valley Community College Wind Ensemble. Becky is also a recipient of the 2025 Forty Under 40 award, which is sponsored by the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce.
