MARY JANUSICK
Mary is a native of Spring Valley. She attended Hall High School, LP Area Career Center, Illinois Valley Community College and the Allerton Art Institute, where she received her certification in archival framing and art restoration and preservation. She worked more than fifteen years in the Art/Photo framing industry as a design consultant with Larson Juhl Framing International. Mary is also a registered decorative painter with the National Society of Decorative Painters. Mary has been painting for more than 30 years including murals in private homes to parade floats, signs, canvas and more. She maintains a studio at the 408 Fine Arts Factory in the west wing of the historic Westclox Building and shows her work in local galleries and businesses. She is an active member of the local arts community, serving as a board member of North Central Illinois ARTworks and volunteering at many community arts events. She loves to share her passion for art and creating with children and believes that art and creativity are an important component of a child's development.
